Last Drop Brew beer bottle label
Southbank were very honoured to be asked to design the last beer
label ever for Gales brewery. The label was for a bottle of beer to
be given out to all the George Gale staff to commemorate the end of
an era, the closing of the Gales brewery in Horndean, Hampshire. The
label had to reflect over 150 years of their brewing heritage.
What we wanted to achieve
The look of the label had to instantly say Gales so we kept to the
corporate colours and we also used the ‘swoosh’ we had designed.
Right away we felt the label needed to have an actual image of the
brewery on it, we then used a sepia effect to give it an old feel,
highlighting the age of the brewery. The turnaround for this design
was very quick, from design to printed label in just over a week!
