What we wanted to achieve
The client already had a very large portfolio of work which we could showcase project by project. The design was built around the company's current header on their stationery, with a subtle Flash treatment to the 'hpw'.
As designers, this impressed the client tremendously, we were able to put in place a current style in html that fitted perfectly with their printed work, 'who says the web is not designer friendly'.
Each page was built using a template, where the client could add pages themselves within our 'bespoke' editor. This editor was built in house at Southbank and uses a web browser to allow the user to change content. No software needs to be downloaded and you can give as much access to password protected users as you want. The client has currently signed up with Southbank for an electronic newsletter service, whereby Southbank will create an email newsletter and bulk mail to all the HPW customers each month.
